Ruffled Pillow from Bridesmaid Dress

My sister left her bridesmaid dress from my wedding sitting in my son's closet. I'm super tempted to make this pillow from it.
The tutorial can be found here. Would obviously work well on old prom dresses...which are also hiding in my son's closet...

Scrap Happy Table Runner

My English Grandmother used to send me beautiful handkerchiefs. I have to locate them, but when I do I'm going to make one of these for my dining room.
The tutorial can be found here at All Things Vintage Sheets.

Personalized Book Bags

Super cute idea using freezer paper and paper doiles. Found here at From Glitter to Gumdrops and she in turn found the idea here at Tidy Mom.

Wouldn't they be great to give as gifts at a bridal shower or tea party?

Pom Pom Cowl

Totally love this look. At first I wasn't sure about the pom-poms...but now I'm rethinking this...they are totally drawing me in. The fabulous thing is, I have about a million long sleeve Plain Jane tee's that are just begging to be dressed up.
MaryJanes and Galoshes has the tutorial: here. I'm SO making one or two...maybe three? Going fabric shopping with my sister in January to look for the perfect fabric.

Elf on a Shelf

I love the idea of the "Elf on the Shelf". My boys are too small to grasp the concept of behaving for Santa, but maybe next year. The tutorial for this adorable lady elf can be found at Jane of All Crafts: here. I'm thinking of maybe modifying the pattern into a boy elf...since I have boys.
